In 2007 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. Having focused primarily on cultural anthropology I was unsure what I wanted to do next. Spending the next year exploring many options including a possible path into teaching I settled upon pursuing a Masters degree in Arts Management. In the fall of 2011 I completed my Masters thesis A Voice in the Silence: Constructing Identity Through the Visual Arts. An additional paper written by myself and 2 of my cohorts, Identity, Migration and the Arts: Three Case Studies of Translocal Communities, was published in Journal of Arts Management, Law and Society in the Summer of 2011. I am now living the life of many recent graduates, unsure of where the next turn will take us, searching for the next big adventure in my career.
sounds like you are successful!
Dear Blogging Friend,
My apologies for not getting back to you sooner – life, you know? Of course you can use the name, “Creating Space”! How kind of you to ask. Is there anything I need to do in order for you to realize this? When I began blogging I was sitting on the fence between my old interior design work and wanting to get out of it to work full time in fine arts, so this name kind of sat on the fence with me.
Do let me know if I need to do something to help you realize this. In the meantime, I am enjoying your blog and wonder if you would like to exchange links? I am often slow with web work, but eventually it gets done (the studio, in some form, tends to call me louder).
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kim
PS I posted here because I couldn’t get your gmail account to work.
Dear Brieahn,
We have been trying to reach you – but can’t find any contact info for you – in order to invite you to the ceremonial acceptance of several pieces of Aboriginal art at the State Dept. the week of April 3. Please contact me immediately if you are interested in attending. Thank you, Eboni York
Hey Thanks for the link!
